An insight into Delaine:

In my free time I’m found almost everyday at the pottery studio in Long Beach eager to test out new glaze combos and techniques with pottery. Thanks to my pottery teacher in high school I’ve found a lifetime hobby and supportive community with ceramicists. Another hobby I’ve picked up is line dancing, just learning a new dance, finally nailing it on the floor, and being able to help someone new learning a song is very satisfying. From my hobbies I love that I’m able to meet new people and gain their insight on life and I feel that helps me in my designs.

In my designs I’m passionate about choosing the most sustainable process possible. I’m inspired by nature and the beauty it brings all around us, especially after fires. While I don’t have the most green thumb I enjoy projects the most when they are beneficial to nature.
